The Advanced Placement in Nursing Program is designed to prepare the individual student for a career as a professional nurse.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

The Advanced Placement in Nursing Program is designed to prepare the individual student for a career as a professional nurse. Purpose of curriculum is to enhance the ability of the nurse to care for clients while ensuring safe effective care environment, including management of care, and infection control. Health promotion and maintenance including growth and development throughout the life span and prevention and early detection of disease. Psychosocial integrity, including coping, adaptation, and psychosocial adaptation detection of disease. Physiological integrity, including basic care and comfort, pharmacology, parenteral therapies, reduction or risk potential, physiological adaptation.

Students who can apply for the Advanced Placement in Nursing:

  1. Licensed Practical Nurse
  2. Foreign Medical Doctor
  3. Paramedics
  4. State of Florida Certified Paramedic
  5. State of Florida Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist
  6. Military Medics
  7. Bachelors/Master Degree
  8. Associate Degree in Arts or Science
